How will the winner be selected?

All form entries will be compiled into a list of names. This list of names will be fed to a random name-picker program, and a random name will be selected. The first name drawn will be declared the winner. We will also draw two more names. If we are unable to contact the original winner within 7 days of the drawing date, we will declare the second name as the winner. If the second person cannot be contacted with 7 days, we will move on to the third name drawn.

Which plans can be chosen?

Any home plan of category “New” can be chosen. Click here to see all 67 plans that can be chosen.

When will you stop accepting entries?

We will stop accepting form entries at 11:59 pm EST on Monday, December 4th, 2017.

What exactly does the winner receive?

We’ll assist you with design consultation, construction advice, and budgeting.  We’ll meet you online to review your customized plan in 3D and help you specify materials to conform to your desires and local building area requirements.  And when we’re all done, we’ll send you five sets of construction blueprints in the mail! An engineering review and stamp and/or any other third party services that may be required by local building code officials are not included.

Is the winner given a materials package, too?

No, the winner is not given a materials package. If the winner decides to move forward and build from the plans, we can assist in procuring the materials package needed for construction.

If I win, how should I contact you?

If you are the winner, we will send you an email notification detailing what comes next, and we will attempt to make contact via phone on the same day. If we are unable to contact you using email or phone, we will continue attempting to contact you until 7 days have passed. If we are unable to make contact with the winner within 7 days of the winner announcement, the winner will be disqualified, and the second-drawn name will be declared the winner.

Is the winner allowed to build from the plans provided?

The winner will be granted a license to build from the provided plans. However, please remember that an engineering review and stamp and/or any other third party services that may be required by local building code officials are not included.
