Building in the Fun
- On July 7, 2017
Planning, designing, and building your own home is a big deal! And although some of our customers are building second homes, hunting cabins, or weekend getaways, the large majority are building what they believe will be their last home. For many of these customers, it makes sense to build some fun into their home. Let’s take a look…
Incorporating a game room definitely counts as building in the fun! Game rooms are perfect places to have casual gatherings, enjoy the company of family and friends, and pass the time shooting pool or throwing darts. Many of these game rooms include a bar area for serving drinks and refreshments. It’s not uncommon for customers to include these areas in a finished basement, but as you can see in these images, this is not always the case.
Another great way to build some fun into your home is to include a home theater! Comfortable seating, dimmable lighting, and a big screen help reproduce the feel of going out to see the newest flick. Home theaters are great way to bring the family together for some fun, especially as children grow older and find more and more reason to spend time away from home.
Areas such as game rooms and home theaters are often very appropriate for showing off some of your home’s most attractive features. For example, placing your pool table underneath an epic timber frame ensures that no one will overlook its grandiose presence.
